If you do any work with the VMWare ESXI web interface you probably find yourself loathing the 15 minute timeout setting. This post will show you how to modify that setting to something that is more fitting.
First things first open the web interface.
With the interface open click on Manage on the left side of the screen. Which should bring you to the Advanced Settings tab as shown below.
In the search box in the top right hand corner and paste in the following value UserVars.HostClientSessionTimeout which should bring you one value.
Select the record and this will enable the editing options. You will also find the accepted time ranges. If you set the value to 0 the system will never log you out.
When you enter the new value click on Save and your changes will be applied to the host.
